Castlerea Food Fest

A Summer Food Festival hosted in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon with events celebrating the best of food in the region.

Running alongside the long established ‘Castlerea Rose Festival’, our Food Fest will be running a series of events, that celebrate the best growers and makers from our region.

Keep an eye on our social media and local posters for upcoming events.

Many of the events will be held on the Hub Campus or have been organised by our committee members, An Chistin team and Food Hub Tenants. Our sincere thanks to the local food businesses who are supporting this festival along with Failte Ireland, Visit Roscommon & Roscommon County Council

Hosted in the HUB this event promises a wonderful evening of live cookery by TV chef and zero waste advocate Orla Mc Andrew.

Originally from Castlerea but now residing in Cork, Orla is a writer, and entrepreneur. She is driven by a deep belief that food has the power to connect us, sustain us, and tell our stories.

Through Orla McAndrew Food, she creates bespoke weddings and events that honour seasonality, sustainability, and zero waste principles.

Savour tastes from around the world but made close to home at our opening event, the Sunday Food Fair
Lots of indoor family friendly events that are fun in rain or sunshine!
A chance to meet the local producers in our local area and celebrate the best that Castlerea and its surrounds has to offer.
We have some evening events including a Live Cookerd Demo, A Summer Supper Club at Benny’s and Coffee Concert at Josie’s!
